Enjoying "Me Time"

It’s Sunday and I have nothing to do. I finished cleaned up my room yesterday, and washed some clothes this morning. And now, I’m opening my office’s laptop, listening to music that listed in my playlist while trying to read and understand some tutorials about DSLR camera (It’s been a year after I bought my first DSLR camera last year, and still I need to read more tutorial and do more practice with the camera).

Anyway, I’m working at a new but old office starting from May 2, 2011. It’s sad that I had to leave my previous office, I’m lucky that I ever worked at the International Bank, performed join audit with Australia and Singapore team, and had an opportunity to practicing my English.

I met new friends, went out with them, visited new places, tried a lot of new food, and feel that we are one family in the Bank. I miss the time when we ordered chicken porridge in front of the office at the afternoon, sat at the center of the room and enjoy our porridge. But for my better future, I took the opportunity offered to me to working back at CIMB.

This past three months was quite interesting. After 10 years had relationship which made me had to prioritize my weekend with my ex, now I’m free to do anything I love. I can hang out with my college friends, my boarding house friends, or office friends, anytime they asked me to go. I can wear any kind of outfit I want to wear. My ex didn’t allowed me to use the sleeveless shirt, or short pants or any kind of clothes that he feel it’s too open for me. So, it’s me, enjoying of being single without feel lonely because I know I have a lot of good friends that support me and accompany me when I need them.

There’s a lot of things to do to fill my weekend, or just sitting in my room (Trinity Traveler say that is “The art of doing nothing”).

This a quote that I read from my friend’s twitter this morning: “SINGLE is not a status. It is a word that best describes a person who is strong enough to live and enjoy life without depending on others.”

It's been about 5 months I never post something in this blog =D

I finally got my lappie last week at Indocomtech, the biggest computer exhibition in Indonesia. Actually I never really think to have a notebook, for me my old desktop is enough for me as I only use it for browsing, chatting, playing some mini games and sometimes to edit photos.
As I mention earlier in my previous post, I'm staying in my aunt house and and left my desktop at the warehouse so I only have limited access to desktop by borrowing my cousin's desktop. And then I think I need to buy a notebook cos my sister will need it for her studies. Don't think my old desktop is able to to support the use of applications during her studies in University.

Because of economy crisis *not in Indonesia, but in wallet* I decided to collect all brochures in the exhibition and buy the notebook later. So I went to the exhibition with my ex bf, collect all brochures and then trying to learn the brochures. Toshiba, Lenovo and Fujitsu were the options. I don't really have any interest to Acer, or Asus. Vaio and Apple was too expensive and I'm not sure if Apple is compatible for any programming applications. And I chose Fujitsu. The price isn't too expensive, 1 one year international warranty with Windows 7 Basic.

So, the brochures hunting finished and it's time to go home, but my ex bf took me to the Fujitsu booth and bought the notebook for me, he said as my early birthday present. *I don't know why he still bought me a laptop after we decided to broke up last year*
I chose the red color of Fujitsu LH530s/v and I really love the backpack that come as a compliment with the notebook.

After notebook, the next target is new handphone :p hope I can have enough saving to buy the new one.

OK, I have to admit that I was lazy to update my blog. Luckily just a few people knew that I have a blog.

Just a quick recap then..
First is about where I live now..
I didn’t stay in my boarding house anymore, I moved to my relatives’ warehouse at Kapuk in March 2010. I’m staying there with my brother. Why I called it as a warehouse? Cos the 1st floor is used to store my relatives’ items and the 2nd floor is where my brother and I sleep. It is quite hot in the morning, evening and night. We usually stay in bed room and turn on the AC.
The traffic in front of the warehouse is so mad. That’s why I’m staying in my aunt’s house right now. Run away from Kapuk for a while hihi..
I hope I can find a better place to stay soon other than that warehouse..
After moved to in Kapuk, I bought a motorcycle for myself cos I can’t rely on busway. I took about 1-2 hours from office to the warehouse by busway, but only 45 mins to 1 hour by motorcycle.

Second is about my trip to Yogya last August with OHI girls..
Even I used to live in Yogya for 3 years during my High School, I was excited with what we’ve got during that trip. That was a fun and memorable trip ever. Six of us (Melissa, Anett, Jutin, Lusi and I) had a great time during our 3 nights stay at Ibis Yogya. We went to the Keraton (Sultan Palace), Taman Sari (Water Castle), Parangtritis Beach, Borobudur Temple, Prambanan Temple, Dowa Bag showroom, Mirota Batik, Malioboro and had a spa at Sheraton Mustika.

Third is about my CISA exam next December..
This will be my 3rd CISA exam for me. The exam is less than 2 months and I haven’t finish 1 chapter yet.
All the expenses for this exam were paid by my company, it’s gonna be a big challenge and pressure for me T__T Wish me luck for the exam..

Little Big Soldier - 大兵小将

Jackie Chan’s new movie finally out in theatre. I’ve been waiting for this movie because Leehom also involved in this movie. The movie calls Little Big Soldier - 大兵小将.
OHI also planed to watch this movie together, just like Lust, Caution movie before.

I’m not going to make a movie review here since I’m not a movie lover =p I usually forget the story of the movie that I watched haha…

The movie was released in China on February 14, 2010 on Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year. And finally, out in Indonesia on February 19, 2010. Not bad, eh??

As we planed before, we will watch this movie with OHI’ers at Jakarta on Saturday, February 20, 2010. My friend has made an invitation at milis but until the deadline, nobody responses to the invitation. We ended up with 6 peoples only. Where are you OHI’ers Jakarta??

We chose the 12.15 pm show at Plaza Senayan XXI. We sat in one row and the cinema was so empty *maybe people still on their bed at the weekend* :p

We started to laugh when Leehom appear in the screen. The make up made he looks so different. But he is still Leehom, we still can recognize his voice =D

The movie was good, typical Jackie’s movie, there’re a lot of funny things during the movie. And it’s getting more special because Leehom is there :p

We even still in our seat until the movie over, and we’re laughing when we watched the NG part. Especially when Jackie said “鼻子大”, he realizes that he has a big nose, same with Leehom hihi..

I plan to watch this movie again =D

CISA Exam Result

I arrived at the office a bit earlier today.. I turned my desktop on and found an email with subject “CISA Exam Notification result”
Waaa… I was shaking and my heart beat was getting faster and faster. I didn’t expect the result will be sent to me this week. As last year, the result was announced at the February.
I opened the email and… *drum rolling*
“We’re sorry to inform you that you didn’t pass bla bla bla with total score 433….”

Huaa… the minimum score to pass the exam is 450. 17 points to go and I will pass the exam.

Oh well, that’s the result. I will post the score detail next week :D

Of course I hope that I can pass this exam since it was the second time for me.
Actually I wanted to defer the exam. But, by support from the people around me, I decided to continue to join the exam. I think if I didn’t plan to defer the exam, I can pass it. Because after I decided to defer the exam, I wasted about 2 weeks without read the review book.

After consulting the result with my Supervisor, he suggested me to register for the December 2010 exam. I should pass the 3rd exam.. 加油！！

Nikon D60 or Nikon D3000

I realize that I'm not good enough in photography. But I don't know when I started to put my interest in photography =p
I'm planning to have my first DSLR this year. I started to find out which camera is best for the beginner like me. I asked my friends and got some type of Nikon as references.
I prefer Nikon than Canon because I'm using Nikon Coolpix L2 now and I quite happy with the picture quality. Even I hate to take a picture in low light condition using my Nikon =p

My friend recommend Nikon D80 which is quite expensive and really really really out of my budget. Even... my friend said that's the best type. But I think for a beginner like me who just try to start to love photography, D80 is too much haha..

And then I got other references from my other friend, she recommend Nikon D60 or the newer is Nikon D3000 is enough. She told me that D80 is not for the beginner =p

Need more advice from the expert, which camera is better for me..
If I'm not mistaken, on March 2010, there will be the Computer Exhibition at JCC and I plan to buy the camera there.
Still have 1,5 months to decide, which camera will be my first DSLR camera hoho...

Happy New Year 2010!!

It has been a year I didn't update my blog :D too lazy just to make a simple post.
I'll try to update this blog starting this year..

Here are the recap during 2009 that I haven't shared in this blog.
1. May 2009 - Leehom Music-Man Malaysia Concert. First time to Malaysia and first time attending Leehom's real concert (can't count the Sands Jakarta Concert in) hihi..
2. June 2009 - Binjai, Medan for my auntie's wedding. It's been 6 years after my last visit to Binjai at 2003 for my cousin's wedding. It was fun to meet the relatives from my Dad and Mom side. And eat the delicious foods at Binjai. But no durian that time :(
3. July 2009 - unplanned Singapore trip. Went with 2 friends and had a lot of fun there. After back from Singapore, I submitted my resignation letter =D
4. August 2009 - Resigned from Lippobank and move to Rabobank. New company, new environment, but meet some old coworkers.
5. December 2009 - Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) examination. Wish me luck!! The result maybe will be informed at February 2010.

One Day At Old Town Jakarta

It has been a month I didn’t update my blog. The one and only reason is only I’m lazy enough to update my blog. I think I’m not a kind of person who loves to writing and making a blog is only because I love to read my friends blog, and I think it must be fun if I also make my own blog. And the result is I’m not updating my blog frequently…

OK then, just want to share my experience about exploring an Old Town at Jakarta.

Leehom’s Taiwan Fans Base, HOM2usic is having a project for Leehom’s birthday this year. They asked all Leehom’s fans base from other country to make a video recording and wishes Happy Birthday to Leehom in their own language. Then we decided to make the recording at Old Town Jakarta.
So, last Saturday, I woke up earlier cos we have to make the recording at the morning before the Old Town being crowded of the visitor.
I went to busway shelter at Jalan Panjang with Ingrid, met up with Anett there and reached the Old Town at around 9.30. That was my first time being there, and I was amazed that Jakarta has that place.
As usual, there were only 6 of us (me, Anett, Ingrid, Lia, Renny and Jutin) gathered there, I didn’t know where are the other OHI member at Jakarta.
We finished the video recording at 10.30 and started the Museum tour. Only 3 of us (me, Anett and Lia) left and join the museum tour. The first museum we entered was Museum Fatahillah. The scary thing was this museum has the dungeon and it was so dark.
After finished the tour at Museum Fatahillah, we continued our journey to Museum Bank Indonesia. This was the most comfort museum cos it has air conditioner and the cleanest one between 3 museums that we visited. And the last museum we visited was Museum Bank Mandiri. This museum was looks so old and a bit spooky for me hihi.. I saw a lof of old machine that was used in the banking industry a long time ago.
And we started starving after finished the tour haha.. It’s almost 13.30 and we haven’t had our lunch. So we decided to go to CL and had our lunch there and I reached my boarding house at about 17.00.

Well, it was fun to explore the Old Town, moved from 1 museum to other museum. And I think I should go there again to visit Museum Wayang and Museum Keramik haha..

Taman Anggrek was not that close...

Yesterday, I went to Taman Anggrek (TA) cos my friend offered me to have dinner at Platinum TA. So I rushed from the office at about 6.30pm and arrived at TA about 1 hour later. The traffic was so crowded, even better than the day before yesterday which I needed 2 hours to reach my boarding house (At the normal condition, I only need 1 hour to reach my boarding house).
Last night was the first day of Java Jazz 2009 Festival and maybe a lot of people were going to JCC to attend that event, so the traffic was not too bad haha..

Since my friend still on her way when I arrived at TA, I decided to go to Metro cos it's having a big sale, even I think the sale wasn't that BIG. And I bought 1 shirt that I can wear it with my new blazer. Hopefully the shirt won't be too tight cos I picked the S size :p

After met my friend and had our dinner at Platinum, we decided buy Chewy Junior and watch the ice hockey match at Sky Rink. After the match was over, we went back to our boarding house by taxi. And we trapped by the traffic jam near Kemanggisan Cafe. We thought it was caused by the crowd at Kemanggisan Cafe but we're wrong. There were fires near Apartemen Kemanggisan and police blocked our way so we had to find out alternative way to reach our boarding house. So I asked the taxi driver to go through Jalan Panjang. And thanks God, finally we reached our boarding house, but it cost more expensive T_T we usually pay about Rp. 15.000,- to Rp. 20.000,- but last night, we had to pay Rp. 40.000,- >.<

Hati-hati penipuan

Kemaren pagi, orang rumah gw dibikin rusuh sama oknum tak bertanggung jawab. Telpon ke rumah ngaku2 sebagai polisi dan ngabarin klo ade gw yg cowo kecelakaan dan ada di ICU RSCM. Trus ngasi nomor HP dokter, yang katanya namanya dokter Sulaiman. Minta supaya nyokap hubungin dokter itu biar ade gw yg katanya kecelakaan bisa langsung ditanganin.
OMG. Siapa sih yg ga panik dikabarin kaya gitu. Nyokap uda panik bgt, apalagi pas sendirian di rumah. Waktu ditanya nomor saudara yang bisa dihubungi di Jakarta, akhirnya dikasilah nomor HP gw ke oknum itu. Thanks God, karena gw kebanyakan nomor, nyokap kasi nomor yang belakangan lagi ga gw aktifin.
Tau-tau aja bokap telpon dan bilang ade gw gpp. Yah bingunglah gw, emang kenapa. Baru deh diceritain klo ada yang coba ngeboongin. Aduh.. untungnya ade gw bisa langsung dihubungin. Jadi ga sampe kena tipu. Karena katanya uda banyak yang ditipu gitu, diminta transfer uang sebesar berapa belas juta segala. Emang jaman sekarang kudu ati2 sebelum bertindak, orang makin pinter aja, modus penipuannya uda beraneka rupa, macam dan ragam hehe..

Jarang banget handphone yang ilang bisa ditemuin lagi. Apalagi yang punya HP juga ga ngerasa klo HPnya ternyata uda ga ada di tasnya lagi.
Cerita berawal dari reuni kecil-kecilan di Senayan City bareng 5 orang temen-temen kuliah hari Sabtu kemaren, abis makan di Kiyadon, kita jalan-jalan ke berbagai macem toko, cuma buat liat2, nyoba2in, tp ga beli hehe...
Setelah cape keliling-keliling, akhirnya nongkrong di Starbucks, mayan deh.. lagi ada promo buy 1 get 1 buat Cardholder BCA. Tiba-tiba HP salah satu temen gw (pake inisial aja yah, sebutlah IA) ditelpon sama temen gw yg lain (CE). Pdhal duduknya sebrang2an gitu lohh. Yah ga diangkat lah sama IA, karena dipikir paling HPnya CE di dalam tas, kepencet aja ga sengaja. Tapi ternyata HPnya ga ada di tasnya CE. Ilang.. raib..ntah di mana dan kapan ilangnya juga ternyata si pemilik HP ga inget.
Setelah coba hubungin lagi nomor HPnya si CE yg GSM, krn CDMAnya jadi busy dan ga bisa dihubungin, akhirnya IA berhasil ngomong sama yang ngangkat telpon, yang ternyata security di Debenhams.
Langsung aja pasukan cewe-cewe ninggalin Starbucks dan langsung ke tempat yang dimaksud sama bapak Security. Ga susah nemuin security-nya, begitu sampe di lt. 2 Debenhams, kita langsung nemu security, dan setelah isi formulir *ga tau deh formulir apaan, ga sempet ngintip* HPnya CE dibalikin, utuh tak kurang satu apapun.
Salut dan thanks banget buat yang nemuin ntah pengunjung Debenhams, atau Security-nya yang nemuin sendiri.

Music-Man Malaysia concert

Music-Man will rock Malaysia on May 2, 2009. I was so excited, shaking and can't think clearly when my friend informed this happy news. This has been my dream since Music-Man kick off concert on September 2008. Besides, this will be my first trip Malaysia. But I think this will be purely Leehom's trip because I can't stay longer in Malaysia.
The ticket order deadline was only 3 days after I got this information, and I made the fastest decision ever that I will go there and buy the VVIP ticket.
Well, still have 3 months to go.. 3 months to prepare everything, include listening to Leehom's song everyday

Nyanyi + Belajar Mandarin

Berhubung hari minggu malem ga ke mana2, akhirnya gw sama cowo gw mendekam di kamar kos-an gw sambil browsing2 dan dengerin lagu.
Bermula dari cowo gw yang penasaran sama lagunya 林俊杰 (JJ) yang judulnya 不懂, akhirnya gw tau klo ternyata lagu itu sama kaya lagunya A Mei yang judulnya 记得.
Cowo gw inget ada lagu lain yang musiknya sama kaya 不懂 tapi liriknya beda, dan dia inget dalam lagu itu ada lirik "谁还记得是谁先说永远的爱我". Dan gw pun mulai search di Baidu dengan keyword lirik itu, akhirnya ketemu juga. Ternyata lagunya 张惠妹 (A Mei) yang judulnya 记得 dari album 真实. Dan ternyata lagi, yang bikin musiknya emang JJ.
Karena cowo gw ini emang bisa mandarin, akhirnya jadi sekalian ngajarin gw arti liriknya 不懂, berhubung gw sangat dodol dalam hal listening, jadinya 1 bait lagu dinyanyiin JJ, di-pause, trus cowo gw ngomong ulang, baru gw bisa denger haha..
Abis itu jadi keterusan, nyanyi-nyanyi lagu yang ada di playlist WMP gw, mostly lagu-lagunya 王力宏 (Wang Leehom), sekalian jg nerjemahin lirik lagunya Leehom, karena uda malem, td cuma sempet ngertiin 1 lagu, 大成小爱, tapi kayanya uda lupa lagi nih hihi..
Walau gw nge-fans sama Leehom, tapi jarang banget nyoba ngerti apalagi terjemahin lagunya. Susahh... banyakan ga ngertinya.. dulu pernah coba terjemahin lagu Leehom yang judulnya 唯一 dan akhirnya malah bingung sendiri.
Moga-moga aja abis ini jadi makin niat nyari tau arti lirik-lirik lagunya Leehom. Itung-itung sekalian memperdalam Mandarin gw yang ga dalem2 nih...

Finally, I created my blog after thinking the blog's name for a couple days. I chose 生命的礼物, the title of Leehom's book that contains his story during his Laos trip. That title just came up in my mind while I was thinking about my blog’s name. And I can’t think the other name.

Hopefully I will update this blog frequently :)
